E-diary for Elective Module 9: ICT Leadership in Schools - Activity 8 – Importance of vision

After Activity 8:
My one big thought about a vision for my school:

To prepare students for the challenge of a rapidly developing and changing technological world, Pares Primary will use ICT to enhance, extend and support every day teaching, learning and administration.  Students will have free access to the multitude of ICT technology that is available while parents and teachers work together to enrich their child's education using ICT as a tool.   ICT integration will further promote social interaction and collaborative learning so that learning continues into the home and the wider community.  Cross curricular teaching of ICT will build on skills learned in ICT lessons. The implementation of ICT will enable parents, students and staff to use ICT wherever and whenever they feel it is appropriate.  There will be a specific coordinator for ICT although each teacher will be responsible for executing his/her content, methods and processes for each subject/ curriculum area.

(Optional) How I feel about the course so far:

Participating in the programme at this point and engaging in the module ICT Leadership has expanded my view concerting principles of leadership and I am  inspired to take on leadership roles with regards to the full integration of ICT at my school .

  1. Great comment Rosemarie. I like the way that your vision breaks down boundaries and expands the learning environment and potential for more breadth and depth in learning experiences.
